Golden Circle day tour: June 21st, 2026
June 21st, 2026 Travel companions/ Group size: Maximum 13 people.
About the tour: The Golden Circle is not actually a circle! It is more of a triangle, for it is a route between the three most famous places in Iceland. The ancient parliament site Thingvellir, the geyser area, and Gullfoss, Iceland's second largest waterfall. We have added many great sites, so now it is a polygon and a very large one indeed! In this tour that could actually be called Iceland 101, you will learn about the Sagas, geology, flora, and fauna, but above all, you will enjoy the beauty of it and have fun!
Tour description: Free pickup and drop-off anywhere in the vicinity of Reykjavik city.
Visiting the usual suspects of the Golden Circle in addition to many other beautiful and secret sites. Best Bakery in Iceland visited on our way out of town, Þórufoss waterfall One of the hidden gems in Iceland. Scenes from Game of Thrones were filmed there.
Þingvellir national park Watch the tectonic plates move apart (slowly). Þingvellir is a heritage site where the parliament was established in the year 930 AD. Europe's oldest working parliament.
Vígða laug (Holy pool) is a historical site for Christianity in Iceland.
Geysir geothermal area: Watch Strokkur, the amazing spouting geyser in Haukadalur.
At the Haukadalur church site, we see where the good troll is buried.
Gullfoss, Iceland's 2nd biggest waterfall, was saved by Sigríður from Brattholt.
Faxi waterfall, in the Tunguá River.
Kerið is a 6000-year-old volcanic crater. Here you can walk around the rim and enjoy the great view of the area.
