The hotels on our tours in Iceland

When we are planning out private tours, we have to take into account what hotels are available. The hotels we try first may not always be available and then we have to change the itinerary to fit everything in. Unlike many travel agencies, we book hotels only for confirmed tours, rather than holding them year-round. What we look for in hotels is cleanliness and location, but most of all, there must be a great restaurant. Sometimes, when a hotel is fully booked, we may book another one close by but still use the restaurant.
Usually, we prefer to stay in the countryside to enjoy nature, and in winter, the scenery and lack of light pollution provide a wonderful opportunity to view the Northern Lights at any time during the night.
Below is a list of hotels we usually book on our tours. When we have special requests, we try to accommodate this and change the itineraries accordingly. These modifications may affect the price of the tour. Hótel marked with an "*," may modify the price in certain time periods, particularly during peak tourist seasons or special events when demand is higher.
